Often times I come across one single photo that inspires me beyond words. For this wedding, my inspiration came from the photo of the wedding cake! Apples have long been a symbol of love, fertility, and abundance since ancient Greek times. Golden lady apples, painted with edible gold luster dust, are the focal point of this cake by Betsy Thorleifson of Nine Cakes in Brooklyn, New York. The vanilla-bean spiced apple cake -- filled with caramel buttercream -- is drizzled with luscious caramel. Can you say, yum? This photo had me at hello. {continued...}

And from this photo, a perfect palette was born. I imagined a rustic chic affair, full of all kinds of vintage lovelies. Calligraphy by Laura Hooper really adds something special, while that beautiful and full wedding gown is perfectly accented with a stunning gold locket. I personally love the look for the groomsmen. Chocolate pin striped suits paired with ivory shirts and ties. Dare, I say dreamy? Anyone want a slice of cake?
