The Perfect Palette is a Tastemaker on Pinterest!
I just realized that I'm one of Pinterest's Tastemakers for Weddings + Events!
Pretty exciting, right? I think so! Me? Little ole' me? Wow! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was asking a friend to invite me to Pinterest so I could try it out! Hearing lots of great things about Pinterest, I was eager to see if it might be a tool that would help me catalog the various wedding ideas that I came across while in my pursuit to bring you colorful wedding inspiration each day.
{Click here to check out the list of Tastemakers! I'm listed in the Wedding + Events section!}
And guess what? It IS a great tool! A tool that I L-O-V-E. A tool that I have a serious relationship with! A tool I seriously don't know how I lived without? And now I've been named as one of the most influential pinners in the Weddings + Events section? Wow, I'm beyond flattered.
By now I'm hoping you all have jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon? Okay, I'm serious...please tell me that you have? For all of you out there that are still living in the dark ages and are asking themselves, 'what's Pinterest and pinning? Okay, first off...please tell me you're kidding! Pinterest is only THE best tool out there to catalog the things that you love! And it doesn't stop at weddings. You can pin all kinds of ideas.
What do I mean exactly? Well, for all you ladies who are planning your weddings and saving hundreds of photos to your computer desktop. I can relate! I used to do the exact. same. thing. I had folders named 'copper wedding ideas' and 'bouquets I love' and 'escort card ideas' - just to name a few. And it wasn't too long until my photo saving became a little out of control. One could say that I am a photo hoarder! It's true. Don't judge.
In any case, I'm here to tell you that the days of saving photos to your computer are over. So are the days of falling in love with an idea you found online only to not be able to find said awesome idea the next day. Pinterest makes it so easy! You simply ''pin'' or save the photo to your own personal catalog. And once your pin is saved, your pins are then shared with all of followers. Also you can opt to follow other people's boards which makes it so that you can search through what other people are loving too! It's like a library of images!
I guess it's sort of one of those things you have to do to understand. What I personally love most about Pinterest is that it's so easy to share ideas and make connections! Plus, when it comes to finding the images I want to use for the palettes I create - I can easily find a photo, pin it, and then access it later on when I'm writing the post.
And since Pinterest is set up to remember the exact location you found the photo online - it's a win-win situation really. Of course I just HAD to categorize my boards by color!! You KNOW I wouldn't have it any other way! I like to think of Pinterest as the 'behind the scenes' of the Perfect Palette. Or a snapshot of what my computer desktop used to look like! Let me warn you, Pinterest is addictive!
Are you pinning yet? If you are, I invite you to follow me here! Oh, and since Pinterest is by invitation only, if you don't have an account and would like to join simply leave a comment below with you email address and I'll send you an invitation to join! {PS. I only have a limited amount of invites, so it will be while supplies last}. Happy pinning! You can find me pinning here...
