Real Wedding | Claire and Michael
Confession. I'm a total sucker for Southern weddings! And so when I received this submission filled with classic details, fabulous florals and monograms galore you can only imagine my excitement! A Tennessee wedding at an old train depot? Mark me down for a Yes! Seriously, though, Claire and Michael's wedding day was absolutely beautiful. They were surrounded by family and friends and all kinds of prettiness thanks to Jennifer of Jennifer Laraia Designs. And lucky for us Watson-Studios was there to capture every special moment.
What a honest to goodness gorgeous wedding. One of my favorite details would definitely be the light-up letters that spelled out their new married name, “Sullivan.” They looked so pretty outside the depot, all lit up at night. Oh, and did you notice how Michael changed from the classic black jacket into a white dinner jacket for the reception? Who says that costume changes are only for the ladies? I really love this idea and it definitely evokes a very classic southern feel.
Michael and Claire had a calligrapher create their wedding monogram, which they used on everything from our invitations to napkins. From the farm style tables to the lace linens, every detail was carefully executed. I also love that cigars were stationed around the Depot on top of old whiskey barrels. Such a celebratory touch.
And did you notice those blooms? How could you not? I'm sorry but I am just having an absolute love affair with peonies and hydrangeas here lately, so it's really exciting to see that Claire incorporated those into her floral design. The soft colors and textures helped create a romantic setting at the old train depot in the middle of downtown Knoxville. Oh, and just because this wedding is full of classic, southern details don't think for a second that they forgot to throw in a few fun details!
Their cake was actually a Funfetti cake (Claire and Michael's favorite kind of cake) and in addition to cake, they also had a snow cone truck pull up and serve late night treats. And those gigantic balloons? Did you see those balloons? It doesn't get anymore fun than that!
