Modern Metallics Styled with Fall Colors
Hey Wedding Lady has popped over to give us some seriously pretty styling ideas! And I couldn't be more excited to share!
If you're still looking for a little inspiration for your fall wedding or your holiday table, then get excited because my friend Ariana from
From the designer, "I wanted to create a table design pairing modern metallics with a classic fall palette, starting with chic, gold details. The simple gold and white striped plates and pierced metallic lanterns were the starting point for this design." The gold palette and modern lines set the scene for the rest of the decor."
Since two of the main elements were pretty bold, I kept the rest of the tabletop relatively simple and crisp with a fresh white cloth with just a hint of texture. To get this look, I suggest going with clean, white china plates. Then all you have to do is layer that with a striped bread and butter plate and some golden flatware.
More from the designer, "To offset the minimalist table decor, I wanted to keep the florals classic. Traditional fall florals in rich yellow, orange and deep sunset hued coral paired with pepper and hypericum berries for a modern autumn twist. I found amazing dahlias, roses, and ranunculus at a local floral wholesaler that beautifully picked up those colors, accented with berries and rusty red chrysanthemums for a classic fall touch. Flat, glossy magnolia leaves were the perfect addition to a modern floral arrangement, tying the florals in with the clean lines of the table decor."
"In addition, the gold scrollwork on the stemless water glass and wine goblet echoed the other gold accents without overpowering the overall design. The last accent was a crisp black and white floral print escort card – a sweet botanical touch that tied in with the overall fresh and streamlined look of the table!"
Well, color me inspired! I couldn't love this more if I tried. And so that's why I'm just so excited to have the chance to share it with you guys! I really like the modern feel with the classic, fall florals. But then it has this very beautiful moroccan feel to it with the lattice on those lanterns. And of course, being that I'm obsessed with gold and stripes, this look really does speak to me in a way that makes me want to go out and recreate this very look! And those colors? Ahh, it's just too pretty for words!
