5 Styling Tips for a Pretty Plaid Tablescape
, I'm always up for a good party. And so that's why I'm just so excited to shared these lovely tabletop ideas from my friends over at The Southern Style Guide. With florals by Statice and photography by Christine LeGrand, just one peek and it's plain to see how inviting and creative this look really is.
Fabulous tablescapes are sort of my all-time favorite thing. Like ever. And here at The Perfect PaletteSo much beauty and inspiration, but that's not all! I'm also sharing some tips on how you can recreate the look for your next party!
#1 – MAKE A STATEMENT WITH BLOOMS: If you don’t have time to order your blooms through a florist, then go to Whole Foods, Fresh Market, or even the grocery store. Select different textures in the same color family and voila… instant focal point!
#2 – PATTERN PLAY: Find a tablecloth you love that has a lot of color, texture and most importantly, a fun pattern! We found this plaid fleece fabric at Hobby Lobby and cut it up for an extra wide runner.
# 3 – FOOD IS ART: Our favorite way to fancy up a table is by displaying some appetizers on pretty cutting boards. The go-to when we entertain is a block of brie with either raspberry or fig preserves and then crackers, fruit, nuts, etc etc.
#4 – PRETTY UP YOUR PLACE SETTINGS: Find some pretty rolls (you can even get them from the discount bread section) and then add a simple name tag with twine and a sprig of rosemary. Smells incredible and it makes for such a pretty presentation!
#5 – ADD A POP OF COLOR: And finally, when you're looking to add a pop of color, berries really are a lovely way to do just that. Raspberries in champagne is always a good idea. And a perfectly placed pomegranate is always a pretty touch. Need table fillers? Fruit in pretty containers is so easy and so pretty!
