Wedding Wardrobe: Bridesmaid Looks from Dress for the Wedding!
On my blog, Dress for the Wedding, I create style collages to help brides, grooms, mothers and the wedding party, discover attire based on wedding theme or color scheme. When I'm trying to find inspiration, I very often discover a brilliant a color pairing on The Perfect Palette that gets me excited to try a new combination. Chrissy was kind enough to invite me to guest post today, so I'm sharing with you some of my favorite palettes she's designed, and I've created some outfit collages inspired by those colors!
If you've seen her great picks in The Perfect Palette Shop, you know that Chrissy has a love of fashion and an eye for great dresses and accessories. We share a love of Kate Spade, stripes, pastels, and really any dress with pretty details! I tried to select some looks here that I know we both would probably love to wear, and we think our readers will too!
The preppy combination of Navy Blue and Pink is a favorite of mine, and this palette is practically iconic on Pinterest! If you haven't pinned this combination, you should! The original collage already includes some great ties and dresses for bridesmaids, and I wanted to also interpret it into a full outfit your bridesmaids could wear to get a wearable pink and navy blue look. I've also added a tie for the groomsmen, and an invitation to get the party (and palette) started!
Dress: Jenny Yoo 'Riley' Convertible Chiffon Dress // Earrings: Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Carryover' Earrings // Bracelet: Charlotte Bracelet in Navy by Fornash // Tie: Brooks Brothers #4 Repp Tie in Pink and Navy // Clutch: Clare Vivier Dotted Clutch in Navy and Rose Gold // Invitation: Botanical Wreath Invitation from Minted
This Blush Beauty is a delicate and a time-honored palette choice for a romantic wedding. For me, a blush bridesmaid gown gives this same feeling -- a mixture of elegance and dreamy ease, and a classic style your friends will love wearing. I've added some crystal drusy earrings and a bracelet for a modern, mystical style! You won't regret picking these timeless, soft colors for your wedding party. Your wedding pictures will still be lovely 50 years later!

Pink Loves Green is another preppy and spring-like color pairing that always makes me think of a bridal shower! This outfit could also be a wedding guest look, or a fun bright style to wear to your engagement party. You can choose blush and mint if you want a subtle version of this, but I went for some punchy color with neon pink and mix of mint and bright green! A statement necklace and contrasting green accessories give this whole style lots of colorful appeal!
Dress: Willow Kelly Dress by Pink Tartan at Rent the Runway // Earrings: Kate Spade New York Square Studs in Beryl Green from Shopbop // Necklace: Slate and Willow 'Lobby' Necklace at Rent the Runway // Clutch: Daves Clutch in Medium Green from Aldo // Invitation: Pressed Flowers Bridal Shower Invitation from Minted // Bracelet: Gold Record Bracelet from Slate and Willow at Rent the Runway
