Inspired by Pantone's Color of the Year, this styled shoot definitely goes down in the books as being one of my favorites using this shade. With design and styling by
Dolce Designs and floral design by
Bramble and Bee, each and every detail is beyond beautiful and lucky for us,
FJCPhoto was there to capture all of the pretty!
From the designer, "We chose to pair Marsala with blush, antique gold, and ivory to keep it soft and feminine. I decided to shoot at Brazos Bend Park because of the majestic Spanish moss trees. The weather was perfect that day after many weeks of rain. That day the sun finally made its appearance for a few glorious hours, and then right after we were done shooting, it started to rain again!"
"I wanted to incorporate a few unique elements into this shoot, like the wafer paper cakes, and a slightly more mature model."
The florals were also absolutely amazing, and had pops of Marsala throughout.
The gorgeous bouquet and floral arrangement featured ranunculus, leucadendron, carnations, and king protea.
And this stationery design by Ruby Ridge Studios? I'm so so in love!
From the designer, "My amazingly gorgeous model is in her mid 40's and looked breathtaking in her Matthew Christopher "Amelie" gown."
What a beautiful scene, wouldn't you agree?
I'm just loving the way that this moody Marsala pairs with antique gold and ivory.
So much beauty in this shoot!
Care to sit down and stay awhile?
So many gorgeous captures and the scenery is straight out of a fairytale.
A wedding cake this pretty? Whoa. But wait just a minute because it's about to get better! This shoot is actually filled to the brim with gorgeous cakes.
The smaller matching cake had a gold top tier, and the bottom tier is made of hand cut edible wafer paper "petals".
The trio of cakes are a showcase of the latest trends in wedding cakes.
The large cake had extra tall tiers, two of them covered in fondant and edible wafer paper, with a gold trim.
The naked cake is special because not only does it have beautiful cascading flowers, but it also has edible gold leaf on the front.
A mix of vintage and modern styling was used in this beautiful design.
More from the designer, "We started shooting under the Spanish moss, and then suddenly I noticed a fallen tree near the creek we had nearby. I dashed over there and realized it would be a perfect place to shoot."
"My favorite shots are the ones we took there by that fallen tree. When I first saw them, they took my breath away."
Gorgeous, elegant, and absolutely exquisite, this beautiful Marsala shoot represents opulence and luxury.
And I don't know about you, but the standouts for me include all of this gorgeous, ornate detailing, the creative place card holders, and the shimmery sequin runners. I also can't go without mentioning my love for these artfully designed wedding cakes. And those florals? And this gown? Ahhh, it's just all too pretty for words.
So props to all of the pros who came together to make this insanely pretty shoot come to life! It's such a gorgeous look for Fall, and it's evident that a whole lot of heart went into this design. Now excuse me for a minute, because I have a lot of pinning to take care.
