1920s Inspired Green and Gold Wedding Inspiration
Audrey Rose Photography and with event design by Kelsey Ann Events, today's green and gold wedding editorial is all kinds of inspiring and it features the perfect balance of masculine and feminine.
From the planner, "The idea for this unique shoot actually came from my husband. He had mentioned to me how most men felt like they were a part of the wedding "just to please the women", and how the groom simply serves as an "accessory" for the bride."
And so this dream team of Virginia wedding pros? They took on the challenge...
...and they set out to change that a bit!
From the designer, "The groom is so often overlooked when it comes to weddings..."
..."and so we wanted to design something that focused a bit more so on the groom and his groomsmen.."
"...all while keeping the sophistication and loveliness of a timeless celebration."
"As my husband began describing to me his ideal wedding, I began developing a vision of a modern take of a 1920’s winter wedding set in an old English Tutor on the countryside...."
In the shoot, the groomsmen can be seen enjoying their time with the groom before he walks down the aisle; playing pool, smoking cigars and sipping whiskey...
Bow ties by HoBo Ties helped the guys look sharp and sophisticated....
And the gorgeous detailing on this wedding gown? Be still my heart...
The guys looked so dapper and fit right into the character of this beautiful setting...
More from the designer, "we wanted to create a shoot that reflected the interests of the groom in addition to capturing the beauty of the bride..."
And so after they said, "I do," the bride and groom took the opportunity to explore the estate...
And what a gorgeous couple they made!
Seriously? The golden hour never looked so pretty!
So many beautiful captures...
Sweetness overload!
Piney greens, hints of marsala, and London gray combined effortlessly with an array of snowy whites...
The decor was inspired by the estate and was meant to give off a "Downtown Abbey" vibe.
And these florals by Blushing Blooms? So super dreamy, if you ask me!
And I can't go without mentioning my love for this candle filled tablescape...
Smiles all around...
And can we just talk about how gorgeous these boutonnieres are?
Elegant stationery with calligraphy was created custom by Letterlyn Studio!
While a simple two tier cake with ornate detailing designed by Sorby Sweets was the perfect choice!
Whiskey, anyone?
Oh, and did someone mention a cigar bar?
Such a lovely whiskey set-up!
So dreamy! And all without forgetting to give the groom and his groomsmen a little love!
Oh, and how could I go without mentioning my love for this wintry wrap? I just adore it!
Huge hugs and high fives all around to everyone who was involved in bringing this gorgeous styled shoot to life! The concept is so awesome and it's really refreshing to see some shots that focus a bit more on the groom and his groomsmen!
Shot on location in Manakin-Sabot at Dover Hall Estate, this wintry shoot is simply swoon-worthy!
