FRESHbash Event with Boho Design Ideas from Team Wild Love

With innovative design ideas from Petite Pomme, and colorful florals by Botanica Lifestyle + Design, there is just so much to swoon over here design-wise. And lucky for us Milou & Olin was there at FRESHbash this year to capture every bit of this insanely beautiful design.

FRESHbash, a thoughtfully curated showcase of interactive, on-trend exhibitions featuring California’s premier event design competition was created in 2015 by founding members Hailey of Two Roads Event Co., Carmen of Carmen Salazar Photography, Dena of Throne Invitations, and Rosaura of Pigment & Parchment as a way to unite the creative communities throughout Northern California and inspire more elevated and exciting event design.

Everything in this setup is absolutely so incredible, but I just have to shine the spotlight bright on one of the participating vendors, Sevacha Cake, for their modern, boho inspired wedding cake designs!


Because just look at these beauties? I'm seriously in wedding cake heaven over here...

Danielle Roe Events, who joined the FRESHbash team in 2016, tells us more, "What started as a small cocktail party quickly evolved to become the collaborative, community building, design-bar-raising, kick-ass party that FRESHbash has become today."

As it did the year before, FRESHbash 2016 sold out-- this time with over 300 attendees! Central to the bash were four FRESHbash design competition teams...   Each team was comprised of an event designer, pastry chef, floral designer and stationer-artist, and each were challenged to build out a pop-up art installation that felt a bit like an interactive styled shoot... ...centered around thoughtfully selected trends that included; travel inspired details, macramé, lucite, rose gold and jungle/palm frond themes. Team Wild Love was inspired by the ever-changing modern couple who lives a city lifestyle that values balance. These world travelers seek lush exotic retreats to re-center with themselves, with each other, and with the universe. Their concept experimented with mixing natural ethereal elements and designed structural forms. Taking inspiration from stone concrete, graphic herringbone pattern, and himmeli sculptures... ...they joined these masculine touches with feminine butterflies, soft organic pattern and textures, and lush foliage. Stationery was custom designed by Stephanie Sobierski, and oh my goodness! I'm just loving the use of color here! Each team was encouraged to push the design envelope by integrating fresh concepts and materials into their designs. And boy did they! As evidenced by this installation made of hundreds of carefully folded paper and sugar airplanes...   Incredible design and amazing execution was exhibited by each and every one of the talented teams who participated.  So much incredible inspiration, in fact, that I've decided that I'm going to have to break my sharing of this event into separate posts so that I can adequately show you just how creative each design truly was.
