A Fairytale Farm Wedding in Vermont
Riverside Farm with gorgeous captures by Janelle Carmela Photography and event design by Darling Creative Co!
From Janelle Carmela Photography, "Spring time in New England is such a joy for a photographer. Coming out of the long, slow, winter, pring breaths new life into the start of another photography season and lets us put all the skills we have honed in on during the winter, to practice."
"Having the opportunity to collaborate on a spring themed styled shoot with an amazingly talented group of vendors was truly a treat."
"Laura Thomson Design created florals with a charming, organic feel that perfectly dressed the gold designer lace table cloths and both of our bride's BHLDN wedding dresses."
"We chose to use the venue of Riverside Farm to embrace the new life spring brings..."
"...and working with the baby lambs, angora bunny, and diva-esque chickens (who wanted nothing less than to get photographed) provided a challenge that was too adorable and fun to pass up."
"The little feed bag favors inviting guests to "please, feed the animal" were the perfect touch for a springtime celebration on the farm..."
"...and the welcome basket provided by the Company Store completed the experience as it was full of local treats."
"To put a twist on the traditional barn wedding, we chose to shoot outside..."
"...meanwhile, to our delight, the ladies of Darling Creative Co. chose a light, spring color palette and adorned the table with a warm familial feeling set to host a delicious farm-to-table feast. "
And these welcome baskets? How creative and absolutely charming!
From Darling Creative Co., "When Janelle Carmela asked us to be involved in a March shoot we jumped at the chance."
"Even though winter in New England wasn't horrible this year, at least compared to last year's seemingly never ending freeze we were itching to do something fresh and spring related."
"Then when Janelle told us her grand idea of shooting at Riverside Farm in Vermont we were hooked. Our minds swirled with endless ideas: adorable farm animals being a must."
"Riverside never blinked at our insane plans, like when they offered a chicken and we immediately countered with, "how about 5 chickens?"
"We wanted a twist on a your basic rustic farm wedding, so we decided to glam it up..."
And how sweet is this fluffy bunny? Such a cutie! And cuddly too it seems!
And this cake designed by Liztisch Cakes? Swoon.
More from Janelle Carmela Photography, "We wanted to keep this as farm-to-table and green as possible right down to the seed paper programs, FYI you can plant those and grow ferns!"
"The favors were organic, half dozen free range farm fresh eggs, which were not only keeping with our farm-to-table theme but also quite beautiful, half were the prettiest, palest shade of blue."
"Apparently farm fresh doesn't only mean healthier but prettier."
Custom menus sat atop the prettiest of place settings in this glammed up farm wedding...
"I asked Haley Mistler to create vegetables for the escort cards and animals adorned with floral crowns for the bar/feed bags. She exceeded all my expectations and lent this shoot a beautiful softness."
"Paired with Leveret & Hare's calligraphy, it was a match made in heaven. Once we had our design plan set in stone it was time to dress our models in something stunning."
"Enter the Black Tux and BHLDN. The Black Tux outfitted our male model, Kyle, with a navy suit, brown shoes and mother of pearl cuff links."
"We loved the dark blue as a contrast against out light color palette. We choose 3 different looks for our female model Olivia on top of a beautiful robe and jumper to get ready in."
"We wanted her to be have an elegant look and another more fun look! BHLDN lent us amazing hair accessories to top it all off."
"Styled by Hannah and Axle Color Studio did a perfect job switching up her hair and make up depending on each look."
"This was truly a dream shoot, everyone brought their best to the table, the venue was stunning and there were baby lambs there, I don't know how a shoot can really go better."
"...with sequin patterned linens from Nuage Fine Linens allowing the authentic Vermont Farmers table to shine through and a mint plate for a fun pop of color from Peterson Party Center."
As snowflakes began to fall during the shoot...
...so much beauty could be seen in every single detail.
Oh, and can we just talk about these beyond beautiful florals?
So absolutely dreamy, if you ask me!
A rich, navy blue suit paired so nicely with this single pink bloom.
Oh, and what about this speckled gold leaf on this macaron topped cake?
It doesn't get dreamier than this, m'dears!
And the facade on this barn? Consider me smitten.
A artfully designed wedding bouquet consisted of peonies, roses and dahlias...
And how about these two?
Such a lovely couple and I just love the fact that there's a dusting of snow on the ground.
Enter bride #2! For this look they went for more of a fun-loving modern feel..
From photographer, "the watercolor and calligraphy embraced the youthful spirit of the shoot and helped the theme "spring" into life...."
And what about these signature cocktails and pink lemonade?
Oh, and how lovely are these straws?
Perhaps the part of the shoot that truly put the "icing on the cake", was just that! Liztisch Cakes created a delicious semi-naked layered cake complete with gold foil and macarons.
Romantic, elegant, and oh-so pretty, this is the kind cake that makes my heart skip a beat!
And how timeless is this?
Pink taper candles danced across the tabletops...
And how gorgeous is this color palette?
"Laura Thomson's flowers complimented the overall design so well. She mastered the color palette and added the perfect amount of texture."
Seriously swoon-worthy if you ask me!
And oh my goodness! This chair swag is simply the cutest.
Simply put, what this dream team created was beyond beautiful...
...it was something out of a fairytale really!
And these two? So absolutely sweet they were.
From the flowers to the stationery, all the way to the gorgeous venue...
This shoot was really something special and it's my pleasure to share the talents of this Vermont wedding team. I'm truly loving all of the creative touches, the farm setting, and these amazing colors and textures.
Hail, snow, and rain didn't put a damper on this Vermont shoot and I'm thrilled to share all the beauty that was created on this day! Huge hugs and high fives to this fabulous team!
