Classic Elegance Meets Something Blue
With stunning event design by Elegant Productions and floral design by Chelsea Lee Flowers, today's real wedding is so full of beauty, and all the stuff that wedding dreams are made of!
And lucky for us Candace Berry Photography was there to capture every moment because by the end of this feature you're going to be pinning every bit of it! When asked about her groom, Shea shared that they met at Dalhousie University through mutual friends...
"...we were both intrigued by the other, but because we were both fairly shy, it took a while for us to get to know each other."
"Bound by our mutual love of movies and sense of humor, we quickly became inseparable. "
"After about 2 and a half years of dating, Curtis told me there was a fancy graduation dinner held by his university faculty, that he had tickets for."
"I had no idea what to wear to this dinner and had changed my outfit several times."
"As we were walking to the dinner in the pouring rain, Curtis stopped me on the tree-shaded walkway that ran alongside the Halifax Public Gardens."
"A few moments past and when I looked back at him he was on one knee."
"He then said some very nice things before he finally asked me to marry him. After I said yes, I asked him, "...So is there actually a dinner or...?"
"Come to find out, the dinner was fake, he just needed me out of my apartment and sweatpants to pop the question?"
"I loved the blush and gold tones and was set on those from the beginning. I also loved the pastel, misty blues, grey-blues, and navy."
"But, misty blue was really the only other color that eventually made the cut."
"I didn't want my wedding to be too theme-y and I just wanted everything to be soft, whimsical, and just "pretty"
So absolutely gorgeous. Am I right?
And how dreamy is this sweet capture?
Such a vision and I just love these soft blue bridesmaid dresses.
Saying "I do," never looked so sweet, if you ask me!
When asked what her favorite moment was from her wedding day, Shea responded with...
"To be honest, it is so hard for me to pick a favorite moment from the day because it was all so perfect. Our first kiss as husband and wife is up there though."
And Curtis' response? "My favorite moment of our wedding day was seeing Shea for the first time in her wedding dress as she walked down the aisle."
"She looked stunning, more beautiful than I ever imagined a person could be."
"I can't wait to tell our grandkids about it." Speaking of this dress can we just pause for a second and talk about how stunning this Casablanca wedding dress is?"
Bridal beauty was on point thanks to Allison Kirby Makeup Artistry and True Beauty Salon!
And these two? So super sweet if you ask me!
And how stunning were these bridesmaid dresses by Bari Jay Canada Inc.?
And how great are these detail shots?
So totally swoon-worthy, if you ask me!
Cheers to the newlyweds and a big happy shoutout to all of these talented wedding pros who helped to bring this beautiful wedding to life!
