Titanic Inspired Wedding Editorial - Vintage Meets Glam
Sitting among Philadelphia's Main Line private schools is the historic Baldwin School. Built in the 19th century, the Frank Furness-designed building makes for an impressive backdrop for a wedding.
Shannon Wellington Weddings teamed up with Fresh Designs Florist to create a little magic. And with its Victorian and Industrial era aesthetic, they couldn't help but feel that The Baldwin School was a natural fit for a modern day Titanic inspired shoot. And lucky for us, Hudson Nichols Photography was there to capture it all!
From the team, "We worked with Conner Catering to create a table befitting of a luxury cruise liner. Tall taper candles in modern glass holders paired with boldly colored florals gave an ancient event a modern twist."
"Of course, while the sinking of the Titanic was a great tragedy, we looked to the modern Titanic film interpretation for romantic inspiration."
"Our model was every bit as lovely and glamorous as Rose DeWitt Bukater in her satin beaded gown, rubies and red heels, all reminiscent of the flapper era."
Stationery designed by Design House of Moira really helped to coordinate the look.
And we can't go without mentioning this flawless, vintage-inspired hair and makeup by ONLO!
The dress itself (from BHLDN) was so absolutely beautiful with its dreamy embellishments.
Seriously, the detailing on this gown with this beadwork is unreal.
So much colorful goodness here and we're loving this mix of elements.
Blooms by Fresh Designs Florist really took this shoot to a whole other level.
We're loving all of this attention to the detail. Even the food was colorful thanks to Conner Catering!
An Art Deco inspired capelet from BHLDN really added so much glam to this bridal look.
And this reception setup? Swoon. We can't get enough of this tablescape, you guys!
"The building exudes character and while you don't need to do a theme wedding to get married there, we loved creating a look that fit in just right."
These staircase portraits really are jaw-dropping with these cascading florals and the soft glow of candlelight.
...and oh. my. goodness! These acrylic chairs are simply everything.
Oh to be a guest at this wedding table. So in love with these blue taper candles.
...Ahhh, seriously, this BHLDN wedding dress was so over-the-top pretty!
...and we're really loving how this design team brought in fruits like figs, pomegranates, and even apples.
Talk about a gorgeous event design! Excuse us, because this vision is absolutely pin-worthy!
The royal blue table runner added an unexpected pop of color in such a regal fashion.
And again, this capelet? Is it not everything?
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! We simply can't get enough of this bold use of color.
And wow! What a beautiful inspiration this is.
Huge hugs and high fives to this talented team of wedding pros who clearly put so much heart into creating this swoon fest. We're feeling oh-so-inspired and we have a feeling that we're definitely not alone!

"Her descent down the grand staircase had us all remembering the look on Leonardo di Caprio's face when Kate Winslet did the same in the film."
