Where the Mountains Meet the Sea
Jenni Grace Photography recently teamed up with Devoted to You Events and The Wild.Floral Co to create a bit of wedding inspiration. And the result? Something magical. Something elegant. And something oh-so breathtaking.
From the team, "Have you ever visited somewhere and as soon as you breathed the air, it felt like home? When I first went to El Matador beach just about a year ago, that's what it felt like."
"...execute and gain exposure from styled shoots) on the road, there was no question that this is where we needed to head."
"So we combined our love of travel with our love of the beach and the mountains and headed off to Malibu..."
"... to not only the most magical beach I’ve ever been to, but the most perfect mountaintop retreat overlooking the ocean."
"Planning from across the country was definitely more challenging than planning in the city where you live..."
"...but we were so lucky to find an incredible team of vendors to help us pull together this "Where the Mountaintop Meets the Sea" boho tribal inspired styled shoot."
"With both the design elements and looks of our models, I wanted to go more simplistic and minimal and a little bit wild and free to encapsulate the vibe of both the ocean and mountaintop."
"The dresses were custom designed by the New White and couldn’t have been more perfect."
"She self describes her brides as free, elegant, confident and liberated, and Jenni captured those qualities in our model bride perfectly through her flawless imagery."
The hair and makeup by JinJutha Makeup were so carefully and meticulously chosen to compliment the dress and bring out those four key qualities.
The flowers by The Wild Floral Co were an amazing compliment to each and every element of the shoot.
From Amy, the owner and designer and the The Wild Floral Co, "the centerpiece was created to have all the texture of a bridal bouquet with a subtle soft element."
"Perfectly wild and dreamy. And with the bouquet, she wanted to bring a little bit of edgy, wild and natural that added to the tribal vibe."
"With each chosen vendor and each element brought in, it was intentionally planned in wanting it to come across as understated..."
"...allowing our natural backdrops set the tone and really be a statement, but yet bring out the boho tribal vibe at the same time."
Blush Paper Co outdid themselves with this perfectly coordinated invitation suite.
We're obsessed with the way that so many of the elements from the shoot are pictured in the stationery itself.
King protea and some cactus plants really added so much texture to the florals.
And how fabulous are these decadent tarts and cupcakes?
From the blooms, to the succulents, all the way to the feathers...
So many eye catching details. Plus we're loving the Aztec textiles and the tabletop which is clearly so full of texture.
So in love with this golden bar cart. Styled with all kinds of mountain pretties, this cart is so absolutely inspiring!
And this dress The NEWhite? Twirl-worthy indeed!
Oh, and how artsy are these cookies from The NEWhite?
Rental furniture from Nineteen27 Vintage really helped set the scene for romance.
And how great are all of these lush green garlands?
A chevron cake designed by Sugar Fairy Desserts was embellished with crystals and feathers and was so perfectly boho.
And we can't go without mentioning these fabulously creative wedding styles.
These two piece styles are both jaw dropping and so absolutely unique.
And this tabletop design? Wow! What a color palette! From soft mint to deep indigo blue all the way to these mauves and purples.
...Make no mistake about it... this is the stuff that wedding dreams are made of, you guys!
Nature was a huge element in this shoot as the water, rocks, and the overall landscape provided such a gorgeous backdrop.
In addition, this tablescape totally told a story. From the intertwined arrows, to the pretty patterns on the runner.
And wow! A closeup of the invitation really shows how artistic this shoot really was.
Such a gorgeous invitation. So full of color and character.
Such a fresh and inspiring shoot. Wouldn't you agree?
From the southwestern boho vibes, to the stylish two piece gowns, to the stunning landscapes. There is one thing that is for sure and that is the fact that this dream team made magic happen on this day!

"I looked around, took in the sights, the sounds and the smells and just knew in my soul that this was someplace special. So naturally, I knew that I needed to get back there to pour more of what I love doing into that very special place that quickly became so familiar."
"When Jenni and I decided to take Stylish Workshops, (where we teach photographers how to conceptualize..."
