Cranberry and Gold with Subtle Nods to the Harry Potter Books
Pops of deep cranberry, gold, and purple paired effortlessly with this modern meets vintage wedding inspiration in a way that we truly weren't expecting! With event design by Southern Magnolias Events and the loveliest of florals by Flowers by Kristine, this dream team made magic happen on this day. And lucky for us, Mager Image Photography was behind the lens to capture every single detail on this day at the Pear Tree Estate.
From the team, "When Emily first came to us with her idea, we were immediately taken with the intense colors and elegant feel. These shades were so popular for fall and winter weddings, so we embarked on the challenge of taking burgundy and gold and creating a spring-friendly look!"
"To do this, we added fresh pops of canary yellow and vivid raspberry, along with ivory accents."
"Once we established the perfect color palette, we went to work on adding the accessories to match."
"This was our starting point in creating the other details, such as the escort card display, cake, cocktails, and lounge area."
"Emily loves the Harry Potter books, so she thought it would be fun to add some subtle nods to the story that only the most devoted fan would pick up on."
"For example, the cake topper referenced a quote from Professor Snape..."
"...the Raspberry Lemondrop (one of the signature cocktails served) referenced Dumbledore’s favorite candy..."
"...and the keys on every plate referenced the flying keys." "In total, there are 12 references. Which ones can you spot?"
"Lastly, the adorable couple you see in these photos are not just models- they are newlyweds that never got wedding photos!"
"The entire experience was heartwarming to watch - her stepping into the first wedding dress she’d ever worn, him seeing her for the first time, and the way they looked at each other the whole day.
"They really were the piece de resistance!" La Tavola Linens helped set the scene for romance with their luxe linens as did I Do Events Event Decorating & Rental with the help of their gorgeous rentals.
Hair Styling by Olivia Kingren was oh-so sweet as was makeup artistry by Sage Ihrke - Makeup Artistry.
cakes by Lori whipped up the loveliest of cakes with the sweetest shimmer layer.
While Letters from Lindsey added her lovely penmanship to various details like these darling place cards.
Oh, and did someone say sangria bar? Yes, please don't mind if we do!
Jewelry was from Michelle's Bridal & Tuxedo while the dress was found at Michelle's Bridal & Tuxedo.
Every detail was styled to perfection and we can't go without swooning over the lovely detailing on this gown.
Stacks of vintage books were styled on the tabletops in the color palette (of course)
And we love how they used this birdcage to display this darling seating assignment.
Now we hope you'll excuse us because we have some serious pinning to take care of! Care to join us?

"Firstly, we chose a 30 foot reception table covered in burgundy linens, to add some instant drama."
"We then lined the table with birdcages and vintage books, adorned with florals in varied raspberries, reds, and yellows."
"Nestled between the flowers and books were staggered gold candlesticks with large ivory candles, complete with melted wax and renaissance style."
"This was our starting point in creating the other details, such as the escort card display, cake, cocktails, and lounge area."

"To find our lovebirds, we launched a giveaway, asking couples to enter to win a glamorous photoshoot."
"Sarah and Travis ultimately won our hearts over after they explained that they eloped in Vegas and never saw one photo from their wedding."
"It was impossible to get their sweet smiles and fun story out of our heads, and we just had to give them the shoot."
