Darling Summer Garden Wedding Styled Shoot
One look at these dreamy photos by Gary Ashley Photo of The Wedding Artists Collective, and you'll be immediately transported to this lush outdoor space with the sun beaming down on you. It is officially Fall and while sweater weather is so welcome, it's so lovely to be reminded of the utter beauty that is Spring and Summer.
In this shoot crafted by Events by Rebecca and team, they opted to use moodier, more muted colors to showcase the warm seasons. Purples, emeralds, golds, and even matte black all make fabulous appearances that we want more and more of, especially in those divine florals by Pineapple Petals Studio. The icing on the cake is that those stunning models are actually a sweet family whom the designer worked with for their wedding last year. Their chemistry is undeniable and their daughter is beyond adorable!
From the stylist and coordinator, "When we first were made aware of a new venue opening in the outskirts of Sacramento, we weren’t sure what to expect. As with most new venues, it’s either the rare diamond in the rough or a complete mess!"
"Well, we struck diamond! Immediately after going to check out Deer Creek in Elk Grove, CA and getting to know Hanna, the lovely venue manager, we decided a shoot had to happen."
"Hanna’s parents have owned the property and maintained the grounds all themselves for over 10 years; watering and caring for every single plant, flower, tree, and inch of space by hand. The love behind this space is truly inspiring all on its own."
"All too often Spring/Summer is filled with bright pinks, pastels, whites, and anything else to remind you of the impending warm weather. We wanted to embrace the nature of the season but couple it with a color palette you don’t typically see this time of year."
"We also wanted it to feel real. We all know styled shoots are staged yes, but we wanted our viewers to see something they could relate to and in turn use to get excited about visualizing their own day. So, we chose to go with a real couple and even to incorporate the groom’s daughter, Skylar."
"Janelle and David were a couple of ours last November and their chemistry is unmatched, not to mention the sweetness that is Skylar."
"The photos perfectly reflect their modern-family love and natural draw towards one another, creating the perfect inspiration we wanted to portray."
"Some of the details you see in the photos came from the venue itself, which we can all agree is quite common. But what made this source so incredible was that Hanna’s brother, John, made the farm table you see used for the reception table all by hand and from scratch."
