Mediterranean Vibes with Blues and Greens in Manhattan
Anée Atelier, you say bring it on! The result is an absolute beauty in colors that are just leaving us starry-eyed. Off to Greece we go!
Our hats' off to Amanda Pierce Productions, paving the way for the whole design element by adding the right touch of florals and colors that evoke the brilliant Mediterranean landscape and seaside. We can't even begin to say how lost we're getting in this inspiration and all of its fabulousness. To top it off, it's got a great serving of sass and high fashion that is giving us extra pep in our step!
If you're craving a quick trip to Cyprus or Malta or anywhere else that's just as swoon-inducing for the day, soak up these photos and get inspired for your honeymoon.
From the photographers of Anée Atelier, "Our approach to this editorial shoot began with a question and a challenge to us as creatives—how can we evoke the graceful, iconic allure of the mediterranean, while based in the middle of Manhattan?"
"More and more, we’re meeting couples who found love in NYC, though one or both originate from countries abroad. Many choose to wed in an intimate ceremony overseas, then host a New York-based reception to celebrate with family and friends at home."
"This got us thinking—what would it look like to host a local reception that invites guests into the colorful experience of the mediterranean destination where the couple exchanged vows?"
"Perhaps, the crown jewel of the entire look—the stunning three-carat vintage engagement ring and rose gold diamond drop earrings by renown Manhattan jewelry designer, Marisa Perry."
"Lemons and leaves were also reflected in the invitations from One Suite Day, showcasing details on a sheer vellum overlay and a thematic mosaic design on the envelope’s interior."
"For this, we turned to Hotel on Rivington in the Lower East Side, where Cafe Medi offered the ideal escape. It’s airy, skylit space is reminiscent of a colorful cliff town restaurant, complete with a signature tile mural as the idyllic backdrop."
"Amanda Pierce Productions styled the tablescape and florals, favoring emerald leaves, white peonies and ferns, paired with oversized succulents and pops of lemon-colored craspedia."
"The contemporary cake from Pip n Bits revealed a deep turquoise geode lined with gold foil—complementing the custom agate slice place cards from InLoft Calligraphy."
"Bridal Designer, Nathalie Kraynina, outfitted our model in three unique looks. Her elegant separates included a backless lace crop top paired with ivory wide-leg pants; a mesh, floral top embellished with silk flowers and Swarovski crystals; and after-party attire including a unique tulle top and midi skirt seen in the hotel’s chic lounge."
"Hairstylist, Michael Foster from Foster Glorioso and Makeup Artist, Stephanie Perez collaborated to create a polished statement that’s both soft and sophisticated."
"We showcased the looks within the mediterranean-inspired cafe and amongst the quintessential street art and rooftops that characterize downtown Manhattan. The result—a local brunch and post-destination party that feels like anything but an afterthought."
