Classic Wedding Inspiration Highlighting Pantone's Ultraviolet
Petals by the Shore, elegant styling elements by A. Griffin Events, and so much more! Thanks to these incredible captures by Susie & Becky, we're falling head over heels for every inch of this colorful styled shoot featuring Pantone's 2018 color of the year, Ultraviolet. Do you love this shoot, or are you like us and loooove this shoot? We're betting on the latter!
From the team, "When we heard Ultraviolet is Pantone's 2018 color of the year, our imaginations were immediately sparked because of our love for color."
"While neutral palettes have been a strong wedding trend, we embrace couples looking for bolder colors in their weddings and these are our ideas for couples who want to incorporate Ultraviolet into their weddings."
"One of our favorite approaches to working with a specific color is to see how it appears in nature so we started looking at all of the places we could find hues of ultraviolet."
"To our surprise, we found in abundance; we saw it in the bottom of an almost-ripened blueberry paired with silver and navy, we saw it in anemones with dark centers and vibrant petals.
"Ultimately, we found it in the Northern Lights paired with pinks and navy tones against a black sky speckled with white stars. The drama and elegance of the Northern lights creates a cohesive, vibrant wedding design for the modern couple wanting to incorporate rich, bold colors into their wedding decor."
"Since the Northern lights themselves are radiant colors against a black, navy and white backdrop, we began our design the same way: with a white table, black napkins and a navy blue settee."
"The sweetheart table we utilized would work with both a bright blue settee or gray Queen Anne chairs from Faccia Fresca Vintage."
"The floral centerpiece from Petals by the Shore incorporates every variation of ultraviolet and it’s companion hues of royal blue, periwinkle, fuschia, magenta and grape."
"Privet berries, thistle, sweet peas, delphinium and tulips offer shape and texture to the oversized centerpiece. We chose to situate the centerpiece just off to the side of the table so that guests would be able to see the newlyweds at the sweetheart table."
"We maintained the modern classic bridal look with an elegant diamond white silk gown from Carolina Herrera with a deep v-neck and pockets."
"Ultraviolet suede Jimmy Choo booties for the ceremony were traded for classic black heels for the reception. The groom’s black suit and tie contribute a modern backdrop for the ultraviolet boutonniere along with socks to match the palette perfectly."
"The concept of the Northern Lights in the night sky also carried into the lounge design. Vibrant ultraviolet florals and an amethyst geode stand out against the backdrop of the navy blue settee, mirrored side tables and two types of chairs in hues of gray."
"The bridal bouquet rests casually on a silver tray atop a silver bench with black fur, resting from its performance throughout the day."
"The two tiers of the cake aligned to the side rather than in the middle for a slight twist on a traditional white wedding cake."
"Our inspiration elements, flowers and blueberries, accented the striped layers of buttercream frosting. A perennial favorite, donut holes sit stacked on an ultraviolet cake platter, completing the delicious dessert table."
