Vintage Industrial Wedding at The Gin at Hidalgo Falls
Formerly a 1950s cotton gin in Navasota, Texas — The Gin at Hidalgo Falls is a family owned and operated wedding venue, rich with history, featuring an esthetic that mixes modern and vintage vibes in an industrial setting, just an hour outside of Houston, Texas.
Fully renovated while keeping its charm, say hello to the perfect inspiration for brides dreaming of that vintage and industrial look. EPOCH CO+ Events, (along with a wonderful team of friendors) had the pleasure of putting together an exclusive look at the venue and its best ceremony locations.
Get ready for a day full of pretty with floral design by Urban Rubbish Weddings, rentals by Party Time Rentals, and gorgeous captures from TEN23 Photography.
From the team, "Our goal was to capture our various brides in our surrounding cities (multicultural and body positive) to create a comprehensive look to potential clients, showcasing the various ceremony areas around this spectacular venue."
"And one that gives respect and a welcoming message to all couples alike. All the while, maintaining the table decor inspiration to be reflective of the owner's branding."
"At the edge of the fields are also two fantastic silos that are aged to perfection and can create the perfect location near sunset for a late ceremony or sweetheart images of the newlyweds when the sun provides a dreamy glow!"
THE COTTON FIELDS
"The back side of the wedding venue is also surrounded by active cotton fields. These fields provide the perfect backdrop for ceremonies! Planting of the cotton seeds usually takes place by April, but can happen as late as May."
THE GIN - PORCH
"If the fields aren’t calling your name, and you adore The Gin structure itself – we think there are two fabulous locations to have an outdoor ceremony facing the wedding venue."
"The left end will have a gorgeous porch that is right off one of the getting ready suites that can house an outdoor ceremony option, (think rows of chairs for immediate family and standing ceremony with cocktail tables for larger events)..."
"Alternatively, the backside of the venue has an expansive wrap-around porch with the perfect little cove – which is where we chose to feature during this styled shoot."
Seedlings can emerge within a week, and the cotton morphology begins until harvest. Harvest in the area can occur between late August and Early September, and is dependent on the weather patterns.
