A Celebration of Romance and Floral Splendor
Happy Tuesday, m'dears! Today we're excited to share with you a love story that was made for the story books! With florals from Tanarah Luxe Floral and planning by Shingleur Events, photographer Lela & Lyla captured so many magical moments from Grace and Tyler's beautiful wedding day.
From the team, "Love stories that begin in high school often have a special kind of magic, and Grace and Tyler's journey from rivals to soulmates is no exception. We had the pleasure of chatting with Grace, the beautiful bride, as she shared the details of their wedding day at the stunning Venue at Oakdale in Arkansas."
How They Met
Grace and Tyler's paths crossed during their junior year of high school. Despite attending rival schools, fate intervened when Grace's cousin introduced them. From that moment, their connection blossomed, leading them on an incredible journey together.
The Proposal
Tyler planned a surprise proposal for Grace while she was unknowingly planning a surprise birthday trip for him. Their families collaborated to keep the secret, and when the day arrived, Tyler proposed at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas, Texas. The "Marry Me" light-up letters added a magical touch to the already unforgettable moment. Having their parents present made the occasion even more special.
The Wedding Day
Grace envisioned a wedding day filled with vibrant florals as the centerpiece of the design. She wanted a combination of bright white, bright citrus/summer colors, and a romantic candlelight ambiance. The decor featured fabulous floral print napkins and a vinyl dance floor mirroring the floral design. The couple created a romantic mood with candlelight and a magnificent hanging floral installation.
Floral Design Inspiration
The floral design played a central role in Grace's vision for her wedding day. Her talented wedding planners, Kathryn and Lance Shingleur of Shingleur Events, introduced a curved aisle during the planning process, adding a unique touch to the ceremony.Bursting with vibrant blooms along the floor, the Tanarah Luxe Floral team created a curved aisle transformed the chapel into a luxurious garden. The disappearing arch piece on the stage, complete with cascading flowers, provided a breathtaking focal point.
A Stunning Wedding Cake
Grace's vision for her wedding cake was simplicity, complemented by an ombre cascade of flowers flowing from top to bottom and cake designer Michelle Mayer delivered and then some.
The size of the cake was kept relatively small, but there was plenty of cake in the kitchen for the catering service to cut and serve to the guests. The result was a gorgeous masterpiece that perfectly matched the overall design aesthetic.
Delightful Cuisine
Embracing a Mexican flavor vibe, Grace and Tyler treated their guests to a mouthwatering culinary experience from Vibrant Occasions Catering. Hors d’Oeuvres included Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms, Saucy Asian Meatballs, Honey Chipotle BBQ Chicken Picks, and Spinach Artichoke Crostini.
For the main course, they offered Pork Carnitas Tacos, Shredded Brisket Tacos, Pollo Asado Tacos, Mexican Street Corn, Cilantro Lime Rice, Salsa, and the ever-popular Cheese Dip with chips.
Unforgettable Moments
One of the most memorable highlights of the day was the fun and choreographed daddy-daughter dance that Grace and her father had been practicing for months. Their laughter-filled rehearsals created an intimate bond and became one of the couple's favorite parts of the wedding. It was a moment that touched the hearts of everyone present.
A Dreamy Honeymoon
Grace and Tyler embarked on a romantic honeymoon at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort in Cabo, a special gift from Grace's grandfather. They enjoyed relaxation, indulged in delicious food, and cherished each other's company after the whirlwind of wedding preparations. The highlight of their trip was a breathtaking sunset cruise on a catamaran, creating memories to last a lifetime.Grace and Tyler's wedding day was a true reflection of their love story. From their high school beginnings to a dreamy wedding celebration surrounded by vibrant florals, their journey is a testament to the power of young love. May their life together be filled with endless joy, laughter, and many more unforgettable adventures.
